Ten questions against the clock

Answer fast and you score more. There is time to think, and not enough to go looking — which is the point.

Guests are welcome in the daily task and the quiz. Your score is an audit grade — it counts for you, but not towards a group total or the champion ladder, because those belong to people the community has verified.
Play 3 rounds and you earn the Good neighbour badge. It is a real one — you do not have to join anything to have done the thing.
Nobody has to be online at the same time. The weekly round stays open all week and everyone answers the same ten questions. Because each question is individually timed, playing at six in the morning in Manila is worth exactly what playing at midnight in Amman is worth — the clock starts when you see the question, not when the event begins. That is the whole reason it is timed rather than scheduled.
Adults get thirteen seconds — about four to read and nine to answer, which sits just under the roughly fourteen it takes to search. Children get twenty-two, because a frantic clock makes a nine-year-old feel stupid rather than quick. Neither clock stops someone with a second phone, so the score is what really rewards knowing: answering fast is worth nearly double answering late.
